We were honored to join Yael and Tony this past weekend as they exchanged vows at the Oceanview in Nahant. From the beginning, this couple has had such a beautiful love story and watching them together and how tender and loving they are is such a beautiful thing to see. Now meeting all of their friends and family, I can see that they are surrounded by the same love and affection from everyone that is close to them.
They started out as friends after both of them were working late nights in the Brandeis University cafeteria, her at the cash register and him at the pizza and pasta station. After working together and bonding over food and late night dinner shifts, as they completed their degrees, this friendship grew into something more. Especially after a memorable dinner in the North End on May 3, 2007. Tony knew Yael was the one for him, after they hosted his Mum for a month long visit, a few years into their relationship. After seeing how wonderful she was with her, he knew she was the perfect person to start a family with. For Yael, it was during an annual month long bake sale for her favorite charity. Tony was so involved in her cause and even went as far as involving his coworkers. She realized then, what a true partner he was and how important it was for him to support her and her dreams.
When asking for just one thing that they love most about eachother....Tony said that it is the emotional support Yael provides him when things get tough. And Yael said his goofiness and how he can be playful and serious at the same time in life. Tony couldn't wait for this day to come and besides finally getting to marry the love of his life, he couldn't wait to spend the day with friends and family at the same time. It has been something that has been impossible for him since he moved to the US. Yael knew that being able to dance with family and friends was going to be a highlight of the day, especially with her 2 year old nephew, who can rock some amazing moves!!!!
The Oceanview was a beautiful back drop for this couple to vow their love and commitment with friends and family. Although, the ceremony was originally planned for outdoors in the gorgeous gazebo, they decided to move it indoors to avoid them and their guests being cold with the wind coming off the water. We were still able to incorporate the gazebo with their bridal party later in the evening though! Yael's dress was perfect on her and was the dress her mother wore on her wedding day! Her mom was such a big part of the day, not only with providing her dress, but also preparing all of the flowers and of course anything else Yael needed! DJ, Tom Laquidara played an amazing mix of requests and traditional/meaningful songs to keep the party going and allow Yael her dance with her nephew along with a planned Super Hero dance from the groomsmen that we had to include! We wish you guys all the love and happiness and hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
