One of the best parts of our jobs (aside from being a part of people's special day) is being invited into circles of friends. You do one wedding, you meet their friends, they get engaged and it begins again!!!! Dan was actually a groomsmen in Ella and Marty's wedding at the State Room last August (here's a reminder of that awesome wedding!) http://www.christianplevaimages.com/boston-photographer-blog/boston-wedding-photography-state-room. So when we got a call that they wanted us to shoot their engagement session we were thrilled!!!! Enough about us, here's their story!!!!
How did you two meet?
A. We met in Shenannigans on St Patrick's Day - a typical Irish romance!
Tell us the proposal story~
I came home after a long day at work to find candles lighting the staircase up to our apartment. When I reached the landing, Dan was there on one knee. I was so excited and it didn't stop there. Later that night I yelled "I'm engaged!" out the car window to anyone I could see. We were on our way to dinner with our good friends Ella and Marty, which actually turned out to be a surprise engagement party!
What details are you most excited about for your wedding? EX. cake, vendors, location, etc.
Getting married by the ocean with all our friends and family by our side, not to mention the amazing band we booked! We can't wait to dance all night long.
Where are you getting married? Clearwater, Florida
Where is the reception? Hyatt Regency
Do you have any tips or advice for couples getting ready for their session?
Relax, have fun with it, and don't be afraid to have a drink or two before (or after, like I did - 2 bottles of Prosecco to be exact).
We had a blast shooting with you guys and trying to keep warm and then getting to see you again at Amanda and Gary's wedding last weekend! We hope you like the sneak peek!!!!
