This was the second wedding of our weekend and I have to be honest, I was definitely thankful it was close to home! The adrenaline of the day always pushes you through the day, excitement for the couple you have built a relationship with, anxiety that you will miss that perfect shot and generally just always looking for those special moments...but once the day ends it hits hard!!!! A five minute commute home was a welcome change after this full day! I have to say, this was one of the smoothest wedding days we have had yet! From the hair and makeup, the commute to and from the ceremony to reception and everyone we worked with throughout the day it was absolutely flawless! Even when the wind was whipping Christelle's veil through Copley Square it was at the perfect timing, giving us the drama we wanted for their pics!
When we first were introduced to Christelle and Ghadi it was over the phone. They live in Western Massachusetts and we worried we wouldn't build the close connection being so far away. That definitely wasn't the case though! We love them and were so happy and excited for them on their big day! Again, everyone involved made this day so easy and fun! Caddigan Films are always such a pleasure to work with and working with the Fairmont Copley Plaza was amazing! There are always little hiccups throughout the day that the vendors have to deal with. Hopefully they can resolve those without anyone ever knowing and the day continuing to run seamlessly. Our day of event slideshow is always a difficult thing to pull off, but forgetting the cord to run it off the laptop, dead remote batteries and one extension cord short is a little more than we normally have to deal with on top of the importing, editing and exporting!!!! Luckily, the amazing team we were working with that day helped us to pull it all off and show the slideshow as planned!
We were so blessed to be surrounded by Christelle and Ghadi's friends and family all day! They were all so inviting and watching their love for this beautiful couple was so touching. They went for a traditional ceremony and seeing Ghadi's reaction to Christelle walking down the aisle was so worth it! I always shoot shots of the groom as he watches his bride to be walk down to him, and that usually continues throughout the ceremony. I saw Ghadi looking at his bride several times whispering how beautiful she looked and so overwhelmed by love. It was so touching and the tears from the bridal party was no different. She looked gorgeous and their tenderness and love came through so clearly while we were shooting their creative pictures in Copley Square and the Arnold Arboretum. We can't wait to get to the editing of the rest of the images while they enjoy the beaches of Fiji! Congrats to you both!!!
