Kristina and Christopher's Granite Links wedding

Once again, our weekend was filled with love and happiness when we had a chance to photograph this couple's beautiful Greek wedding just outside of Boston.  We were so excited, as it seems like forever ago that we originally met this couple, a referral from a past bride (check out Alex and Alexa's North End Engagement Shoot) and have been counting down the days until their wedding was finally here!!!  Kristina was so excited when we arrived for her getting ready shots and couldn't wait to get the show on the road!  I love when we have clients that are thinking about logistics of their wedding photography, Kristina and her bridesmaids even went as far as to buy command strips, measure and place them up the night before so we would have an awesome shot of all of the dresses!!!!  Thanks guys!!!!  Enough about us, I'm sure you're dying to hear more about this couple and their road to the altar so here we go.....!!!!

Tell us how you first met- who, what, when, where, why?  Give us the dirty details- I went to UConn with Chris's brother, Nick (his Best Man). After college, I stayed in CT for a teaching job. During the first months of school (Fall 2010), I came up to Boston with my friends from college to go to Beer Summit at the Park Plaza Castle. One of Chris's brother's friends dropped out last minute and Chris took his ticket. We met in line waiting to get in, but didn't end up running into each other again during the event. Afterwards, the whole UConn crew + Chris went to the bar. We don't remember who started talking to who, but we ended up spending most of the night together. I left to go to the bathroom and when I came back I couldn't find Chris. He claims he thought I ditched him, but that most definitely wasn't the case. During the cab ride back to my friend's place, I told all the girls that I was going to marry Chris and then friended him on Facebook because we never exchanged numbers. He ended up sending me a message a couple days later and we have been together ever since!!

When did you know he/she was the one?  Was there something he/she did? etc-

Kristina: I knew Chris was the one the day we met (hence declaring to my friends that I would marry him). His smile absolutely melted me and our conversation was so easy. It was like I had known him forever!

Chris- There wasn’t a particular “event” that made the decision for me.  It was a series of things in which I realized that I couldn’t live without her.  From the simplest moments of having her classic egg sandwiches in the morning when visiting me in the north end to the devotion she had in getting close to my family.

Tell us about the proposal.  Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?- Chris proposed on September 16, 2014. He told me we would be going to a work dinner at Mooo, which was a ploy to get me to dress up on a school night (it was a random Tuesday). He asked me to meet him by Tia's so we could grab a drink at Joe's and then walk over to the restaurant together. When I got out the cab he said that it reminded him of the first time I got dropped off in the North End to visit him when we first started dating. I found that odd, but continued on to complain about my tough day at work. Chris was freaking out because I was derailing his plan. He finally just cut me short and as we were walking under the arches in Christopher Columbus Park, he began reminiscing about our relationship. That's when it finally hit me what was going on. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee proposing. I, of course, said yes and also ensured that he asked my dad first (which he did on a golf trip over the summer). Chris had gathered our families at Taranta where we shared a celebratory dinner. There wasn't a work dinner after all! Well done, Chris!
(Here's a reminder of their North End engagement session, where we made a stop at Taranta!)

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other-

Kristina- I love that Chris always finds a positive in every situation, even when it seems like there couldn't possibly be one. He is the perfect easy-going balance to my Type A craziness.

Chris- Kristina packs a lot of passion in her 5 foot frame.  Her passion for teaching, wedding planning, and doing what is right, no matter the consequence is something I truly love

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does-

Kristina- When Chris and I practice our first dance (which is a joke of a practice because we laugh more than we dance) he always sings Shania Twain "Man! I Feel Like a Woman".

Chris- Kristina values the gym more than anything, I think if she had to make a list, the gym (and her deep obsession with her trainer) would top even breathing.

Besides getting married, what's the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Kristina- I am OBSESSED with all of our vendors. I can't wait to see all of their talents in full force and the way that everything comes together.

Chris- Seeing all the intricate “personal touches” around the room.  Kristina has spent countless hours planning every square inch of the ballroom, and I can’t wait to see her vision come together.

Congrats again guys!  It was amazing being there to capture your day and see the love between the two of you and all of your friends and family!  Have fun in Hawaii, can't wait to see you when you return!!!  Make sure you scroll down to check out their same day slideshow we showed at the reception!!!

Oh and to all of the kick ass vendors we worked with, we didn't forget about you!!!  Shout out to an awesome team that came together to make this day perfect for them!!!
