Martha's Vineyard Engagement Photography with Christine and Ricky

Christine and Ricky have made it a point to take a yearly trip to Martha's Vineyard, every year for the last 5 years.  Not only do they enjoy spending time there, but it just happens to be where they got engaged as well!  It was so funny while we were figuring out timing and location for their engagement session, Christine immediately thought of the Vineyard, but wasn't sure if we would be up for it.  A trip to the Vineyard with an awesome couple and beautiful backdrops..?????   We were game!!!!  We had an amazing day getting to spend time with Christine and Ricky and are so excited about their engagement session images!!!  First, here is their story...I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks!!!

How did you two meet? A. One of Ricky's best friends introduced us in high school. That night we went to the Quincy High football game with friends and have been together ever since!

Tell us the proposal story~ A. We were taking a long weekend trip to Martha's Vineyard over Labor day weekend of 2015. Our first day there was fun-filled with all of our favorite things to do on the island: from our go-to breakfast spot, to the Bad Martha's brewery (where we tried every beer on tap), to our favorite Mexican restaurant -- we were just so excited to be there! Then we headed to our favorite spot to watch the sunset - Menemsha Beach. On our way to Menemsha, Ricky INSISTED we stop at this fancy gift shop to pick up nice wine glasses - which was totally out of the norm for him, and I was getting frustrated because we were cutting it close on time and I just wanted to get there...but he insisted. We finally got to the beach, grabbed some fried seafood and opened a bottle of wine that Ricky picked out and started to watch the sun set...Then Ricky asked me to go down to the water to skip rocks and feel the water - but I was really focused on eating our dinner and enjoying the view. I started to walk up to our chairs (and wine) and he said "Wait come back - I need to ask you something!" Right then...I knew and when I turned around he was on one knee and he proposed!
